Do you think its easier to bowl a 300 game or a 800 series?

well considering i have 5 - 300 games, and my highest series is a 779, in which i had 1 bad shot for a open, and i shot 760 back in nov, and didnt miss the pocket once, yes shooting 800 is alot harder.  

I also had a nite a few years ago, where i bowled both shifts first shift, I went 300 / 744, then went 279-269-200/748  and missed the pocket twice, and that was in the second game of the first series, and then went then next 9 strikes... both times, in the third game, i lost carry even though i was killin the pocket..  

I mean, i've had other nites where i shot a 650 or so and am in the pocket the whole nite, but just leave too many 9pins, or 4 pins, or w/e...

Well I hate to say it but I  have done NEITHER!  However, for myself I believe that i will shoot 800 before I shoot 300.

And 800 will likley be an accident ofcourse, but when I think about all the times I shoot well it''s a 270, 250, and one s**t game with opens.  And what the real downer is, it''s usually game 2.

A few 290''s and some 279 the hard way, I have been close...Oh well.  Maybe tomorrow.

It depends on the conditions.  The less the conditions change and the easier the shot, the more likely you will bowl an 800.  If you were bowling out, for instance, I think an 800 would be easier.  If you are bowling in a 10 man per pair league where you will see several transitions over the night, then the 300 is more likely.

In my area, 300's are almost a walk in the park. Seems like every night someone shoots a 300..with a middle of the road 600 (been there done that got the T-Shirt)

800's are by far harder..but if you go up to the Minneapolis/St.Paul region, there are quite a few 800's and less 300's.

I think it really depends on the shot that is laid out, like has been stated previously. If it's a good fresh shot, 300's are pretty common. If the lanes break down horribly or in weird ways, 800's are much more rare.

I personally have (sanctioned) 7 300's and 2 800's, so I feel it's easier to roll 12 in a row then to bowl well all 3 games of a league session.
