A guy in our scratch league went 299-300 the first two games the other night.
Then he takes off again on a 280 pace... In the 10th frame, he pulled the first shot, and tripped out a 4-9. The second shot, he fluffed and crumbled a 2-4-5.
The last shot, he hit real high again and left a 4 pin. the whole house was watching - and applauding. So he bends over and grabs his ankles to show how screwed he was on the last shot.
Excuse me, but an 878 is still pretty good - and he threw 3 pretty rough shots in the 10th. And he didn't have a chance at the state record - it's 900, so I don't get it.
Can someone here explain this pathetic example of a "role model"?
