I noticed the last couple of weeks my ring and middle fingers bleed a little at the cuticle at the bottom of the nail. I seem to recall that this indicates something, but I just can't remember what. Help??

Pitch or the inserts are too small.

is your skin ripping from the nail? this sometimes happens to me when my skin is dry and gets tugged back and the skin just rips off. i usualy just put a bandade around my finger to prevent further damage.

By the third game they do become a much tighter fit, to the point where I have to almost force my ring finger in. (Which is the finger that this happens to most often.)

If you use inserts id have the inserts changed for a little bigger. If you really want to try out something, theres a type of insert called Vacugrips that come in all the usual sizes. I did that with 1 ball for testing, it felt sooooo good that i had all my balls switched to those grips. Its even cured my problem with the inserts digging into the joint where the skin crease is at. Highly reccommend it.

I can go along with that.
Splendorlex....one thing you may want to try if you currently use finger grips and your fingers swell alot......try the vice vacu grip system. It works VERY well for problems such as yours.

I just started using this grips, I was in heaven!!! Made 3 games feel like 1, no lies!! From what Ive seen so far, the wear on the grips is reduced somewhat too so they last a little longer. I have to thank my local pro shop guru Jimmy Erickson for the use of 1 free set of these grips. Hes a former PBA Member which I never knew till this past weekend.

I've heard these Vise Vaccu Grips mentioned a number of times here, but have never questioned or looked into exactly what they are. What is the advantage of the Vise Vacu Grips if you have fingers that both swell and shrink like mine do?

With the proper span, pitches, and finger insert sizes you can reduce swelling. I'm similar to you in that by the third game my fingers are swelling. When its not my turn I sit with my elbow on the table (bowling hand), arm up, fingers apart and open. Keeps the blood from flowing all in the hand. Also by that game I need a little ez slide on the fingers.

The grips will shrink and swell with your fingers so you have the same feel each and every time.

The hole that is drilled for the insert to fit into is larger than normal but only slightly. This allows the insert to expand a little and "give" when your fingers swell.
You only put 2 dabs of glue to hold the insert in so it can expand as needed. Interesting system that I have drilled for several guys but I don't care for them myself.
