How good of a bowler do you have to be to me an amateur/regional staff like Ebonite, or Storm. And anyone that is on one, what do they get out of it, is it just free/discounted balls, or do you get paid, or what is the process of becoming one.

Very few true amateur contracts are given out..most are pro shop or people in positions to push a lot of product.
Pro shop guys sell a lot more bowling balls than Team USA guys.

This is true, but you also have to have some sort of "talent" to be on any kind of staff. What I did is send my resume to everyone, and bowl for as many ball company reps as I could. So it could be a very good idea to send a video of yourself with the resume.

I disagree....pro shop contracts are given to guys who barely bowl. They know they are in a position to impact product sales.....regardless of bowling ability.

My opinion could be very biased since I have an "amateur" contract and do happen to own a pro shop. But I also work very hard at my craft both on and off the lanes.
three of my clients have a contracts with other ball companies and they don't own or work in a pro shop. There only real affiliation with a pro shop are through me and my company.
