Hoinke Final info
« on: May 04, 2003, 02:52:31 AM »
Well guys/gal here’s the final information for the Hoinke.  Sent all the paperwork out Saturday.

Team lineup:

SrKegler
Thongprincess
Card79
Rick Wunder
Nicanor

Axeweldr is supposed to have a team coming from Chicago, I’ve left info for him to contact our squad sponsor directly.

Sorry, but I had to drop Clutch and Cranker2k.  Never did get any information from them. Pchee just can't clear his calender and has family going into surgery during that time.  Will sure miss his antics.

Doubles:  Knowing the lane conditions and having seen the bowlers before, I think we have a strong field here and a great lineup.

Rick Wunder – Nicanor:  I believe this lane condition will be right up their alley.

Thongprincess – Card79.  TP is a lefty, usually a good shot right where she likes to play the lanes.  Card79 bowls in a tougher house, his 180 average is going to pay off bigtime.  Highest average I saw on his league was 205, only about 2 700s for the entire league for the year.

PS Card79 – DO NOT make any whineylefty comments.  Just yes mam and no mam and you’ll be alright. I learned my lesson in NC.  Thought the teacher was headed to her bag for a club.

I have to wait and see what transpires with Axeweldr, if not I will team up with some guys from West Va in doubles.

We bowl team events at 3:00 PM June 7.  Doubles are at 9:00 AM June 8, singles immediately after.  We usually finish around 1100, 1130.  These games really go fast, only 2 people per lane in singles & doubles.

I need everyone to show up 1 HOUR early.  Since I’ve met everyone except Card79 I should be easy to spot.  Look for the Ballreviews sign around lanes 1&2.  With identity theft problems, I did not want to collect SSN from everyone.  You have to fill that part out when you check in.

After team events, stick around.  I usually eat after I bowl, there’s a great steakhouse just across the street (1/2 mile).  Afterwards most of the people from WVA go to the casino, Kings mountain, or the nudie bars.

E-mail me if you have any questions.  Also, if anyone needs a ride from the airport, let me know.  Haven’t decided where I’ll be staying yet or when I’ll be arriving, probably Imperial house, will probably sneak out of work early and get there Friday night.

RIP Thongprincess/Sawbones

I look forward to it.  I think my wife and I will be getting in either Friday night of very early Saturday morning.  I will be bringing the camera so that everyone here can enjoy the fun.  LOL

I'm flying into Cincinatti CYU (actually in Kentucky) at about 1:45.  Where is the bwoling alley in retrospect to the airport?  Taxi or rent a car and also a close hotel to the bowling alley.  I ws hoping we could stay close if not in the same hotel.

Thanks.

Barry I am staying at the quality suites.  They give a hoinke discount and they tell me it is about 8 miles from the center.  If you are interested in there you can contact carol cooper and she will set you up.  Here is her email address.

Hey guys, I will be there with a team of my own on June 6,7. We will bowl doubles on june 6 at 6:30 pm and singles on the 7th at 9:am with team at 3:00pm. Maybe I will meet some of you guys there. I've met Rick once so I'll probably look for him. What conditions do they put out there, and what kind of lanes do they have. This is our first HOINKE and we are just going to have some fun.

Western Bowl, in regards to the airport (Assuming you are coming into CVG, which is over in Northern Kentucky) is about a 1/2 hour away, depending on traffic.

If you need any directions, let me know.  Although I'm not planning on bowling (unless a sub is needed) I live about 5 minutes away from Western and bowl all my leagues there.

Thank you Paul.  Do you have the address of the bowling alley so that I can plug it into the map quest and get driving directions?

Now, now SrKegler get it right...teachers don't use clubs, we use paddles

Card don't listen to him, I'm just a sweet, innocent lady who would never hurt a flea
