What happens at Demo Days?
« on: February 10, 2007, 11:59:28 PM »
I might go to an Ebonite Demo Day in my area. Do you just watch someone bowl with the newest stuff? Or do you bowl with something drilled up close to your grip size?

They have various balls drilled at different spans, and they fit you as close as they can. They change the thumb slugs to fit you and you can tape it to get a better fit. You just tell them which ball you want to throw and they will fit it up with your size inserts and thumb slug. When you've thrown 1 ball you tell them you want to try something else and they will fit the next ball up in about 2 min's. It's good to try dofferent stuff without buying it.

They have several of the newer balls for you to try out.  They have removable thumb inserts and different spans and weights of balls.  They measure you up for the insert and you select the one or two balls you wan to start with, then off to the lanes.  It is a lot of fun testing the equipment.  You usually get an hour or so of lane time and can change balls pretty much at will.

LOL ... what he said
