Psycho e-bay sellers--Why do they even bother?
« on: August 09, 2007, 04:39:44 AM »
We've all seen em, pricing things at ridiculous prices, and yet they persist in trying to sell things at exhorbitant prices.

  Here is the latest: http://cgi.ebay.com/Monster-Slayer-Bowling-Ball-15-lbs-Used_W0QQitemZ300139971881QQihZ020QQcategoryZ36105QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

$99 + $22 for shipping?  The same ball is on here N.I.B. for $59 + shipping, so why would I give this much for a used one?  big, red, DUH

Auctions like that come from people who aren't much into bowling.

Don't worry Russell, I won't.  Just seems to be an ongoing topic lately that makes people laugh, and I found this one particularly funny because lots of people can't even give those away, much less sell a used one for that price.

They weren't too bad, just finicky for oil.

even if you know nothing about bowling, a little research on ebay will help lead you to a sucessful sale, why not as a seller go look see what stuff sells for and then price accordingly, ebays fees are nuts anyway, why risk not selling

The funny thing on that one is the wording "contains the phrase monster slayer".

That is the dead give away this person either does not bowl or lifted someones stuff from the bowling alley and put it on e-bay for sale.

"Tell me Cup, how does a great ball striker like you shoot an 83? Well I lipped out this putt on 18......"

I like where he says it comes from a "non-smoking household". I didn't know that smoke affects a bowling ball. If it helps, I'll start smoking 2 packs a day.

This may well be the funniest thing I have heard in the last month.

It looks like the first auction he has ever done. I just listed my first auction. At least I did a little research.
