If you don't mind my asking, what happened that you got so lost between shooting a 300 and shooting a 170?

I know bad games happen to us all, just wondering if the lanes "blew up" or what.

Sorry you didn't get the 700 ... nice job on the 3 hundred, though!

Note: I'd easily give one of my 700's to get my 1st perfect game under my belt.

One reason could be - Shots - A friend of mine bowled his first 300 and went <150 <150 because he could barely stand up by the middle of the 2nd game.  He has had several 300's since and many 700's but that night a 600 series escaped him after starting perfect.

I too would trade a 7 for a 300, and I've only shot like 5 or 6 of them I believe.

Hey dont feel so bad, my first 300, came in 2001, during our city tournament and i went 300 / 696 ,  next 300 came at the beginning of next season, and i went 300, 224, 176  and it was tough.   Cuz after the first game, the shot just dried up very quickly so i was moving 2 or 3 boards every couple of frames.

Third 300, i went 185-201-300  686,  and my 4th 300, i went 300-244( went open open next seven lol)  and 200.

I mean, sometimes the shot just changes like crazy or you start out with a chiefs suprise...    My third 300, was like that,  lanes started out really wet/dry and i finally moved to 5th arrow and was just bouncing it off the 12-10boards but that line just held the ball the best, and i didnt find it till the end of the night.

I've seen some guys shoot 300, then go 160's or w/e or they start out slow and then shoot 300.
