What impresses me...
« on: August 27, 2008, 02:33:25 AM »
Some people like to see the big curve ball.  Some like to see precision accuracy.  Others don't care as long as the pins are flying all over the place.  Certain people enjoy seeing good sportsmanship.  NOT ME!

I'm most impressed by the guy who can kick the ball return the hardest after missing a 10 pin!  Honorable mention goes to the guy who punches the scoring table when he leaves a split!  Someone flipping off the pins and screaming expletives will get my attention too.

You see, it's the raw emotion that's interesting.  I like to see people get mad.  It means they're having a worse day than I am, and that makes me feel good.  Plus, it's entertaining to see how others react, or if anyone else will step up and further antagonize the upset maniac into further displays of childish rage!

It's all so much more exciting than the guy who just frowns, shuffles back to his seat dejected, and lays his head down to cry in his towel.  Even more of a snooze is the guy who just accepts the bad with the good and shruggs while saying "Oh well, maybe the next shot will be better."  I mean, really, some of these dudes are like watching paint dry!

SO get mad, show your emotion, and ENTERTAIN those around you!  Bounce your ball on the floor, throw your bowling bag across the settee area!  Smack all of the cards and the kitty money off of the table!  Get in the guy who's whipping your *** face and scream at the top of your lungs that the only reason he's winning is because he's a sandbagger!

Do this, and people will show up every week just to see what you're going to do next!  Children will look up to you and act just the way you do!  Opponents will dread bowling you because they will know just how seriously you take this game and that you will not stand for any errors in your game!

To be honest I do like watching the show, that being said I guess I need to work on my entertainment skills because I fall very close to the paint drying end of the spectrum.

As for watching me bowl, watching paint dry is much more fun.  I'll just get up, throw the ball and quietly sit back down when I'm done.  No comments, no gloating, no frowns.

But for those entertaining whack jobs on the lanes

I'm "the guy who throws gas on the fire".

Anything I can do to help the other guy vent his frustrations, I'll do.

I don't know why, I can't help it, I just have to do it.

Well then, you're more exciting than you think!  A good instigator can be just as entertaining as the instigatee.  Believe it or not, people will watch YOU to see what kind of fuel you'll throw on the fire!

Well then call me boring because I'd rather be that than the guy that can't keep their emotions in check.  Oh, and as far as seeing big curve or accuracy, I like the latter.

I usually punch myself instead of equipment.  It's not the ball return's fault.

Good/funny post 9anda, LOL.  Beats some of our other topics.  But I like accurate hooks, LOL.  As for the clowns on the lanes.  I love the 150 160 bowler who has a tizzy every time he gets robbed of a strike when he hits the pocket or when he misses an easy spare.  I do the entertaining when I pick up a split.  The more difficult the better & more raw emotion lol.  I don't know, but I get more pumped up when I do that than get a strike.

People often refer to me as the no-emotion bowler. I don't have enough of that spunk, are you giving lessons?

at one point in time I resembled this remark but in my older age (24) I have mellowed considerably now I only snap once a year and not close to the extremes I used to.

Im so glad people are brainwashed to think that TRACK sucks. And its even funnier when im carrying with my TRACK ball and they're going flat ten with their BRUNSWICK ball.

I personally like bowling against hot heads.  They go up and throw a split and get flustered, and in the mean time you throw a 4 bagger against them and just walk away.  That makes some of them so angry!

I bowl in a league with at least 20 of these people...
