trouble gripping the ball, help please?
« on: April 07, 2008, 06:32:26 AM »
i don't think i am gripping the ball wrongly, just that the area where i grip the ball with the thumb is hard and smooth so..... yeh the ball slips. it doesn't have any skin texture that helps grip the ball...

what should i do? apply callus remover on it and let the new skin grow?

Too much reverse in the thumb hole causes you to pinch the ball with your thumb on your down swing. Does your wrist irritate you after more than 3-4 games?

You should try vinyl slugs or vinyl thumb inserts if you have dry skin and are having trouble staying in the ball.  This could be a fit problem like everyone else thinks, but I'm saying it's more than that.

Maybe you should talk to your ball driller and ask for advise, without looking at your hand in the ball and the way you throw the ball, basically its impossible to give you advise.
