Hey everyone, my house lays down a very walled up shot creating alot of over under. What ball do you guys think in any company's current line up would best counters the over under?

stats: 14 mph, med-med high revs

I have a lot of success in that environment by squaring up and going old-school; Columbia Scout urethane.  If you want a core, I like my Lane 1 XXXL too.  Backends are usually strong enough that carry isn't an issue.

I'm not sure my exact ball speed, but I'd guess from your description we have similar stats; slightly slower than average speed and slightyl higher than average revs.  Tends to create problems when the backends are really moving.

highly polished reactive balls can be very over/under on a typical house shot. try using a ball without polish. use one that's been wetsanded with a 2,000 or 4,000 grit abralon pad. this will even out the balls reaction. good luck !

I have an action maxx that's very controllable,it's a short pin ball I picked up here on a trade.it's even high polished and gives me a nice smooth curve,not good for trying to open up the lanes though.

The harder I try the harder they fall

I like to take a medium symmetric ball, place the pin 1" to 2" from PAP and take the surface down to around 1000 grit.  Lay it out so you have just under 1oz of side weight and you can add an extra hole later if it's still not smooth enough.  Adjust the surface as necessary.  SMOOOOTH as silk.

For the rev-challenged, high load particle balls can work wonders.  Even polished or at a highly sanded finish, they won't bounce on the dry boards like a pearl.  You can try drilling tricks to smooth out the reaction but so much of it is cover-related that there's only so much you can do with drilling.  Take a Mammoth or AMB Particle up from the concrete finishes they come with and they won't tend to burn up in the heads.
