Another sore loser story
« on: December 17, 2010, 03:10:53 AM »
Well we had the end of the half position round match the other night.

The 2nd place team beat the first place team to take over first place.

What a sight there was.

A guy on the losing team goes ballistic, says this one old lady on the winning team was using a illegal ball.

Why was it illegal? He said It was because it had three finger holes.(She as arthritis and needed a extra finger hole to help hold the ball.)

The winning team captain tells him hes been bowling for years and its not illegal, the guy tells him he dont care, you old guys think you know everything and hes wrong. And it goes on.

I wonder what he would have said about the lady that has a ball with the handle on it thats on the league.

Mr. Ballistic needs to be invited to not ever come back.

I've had trouble being beaten by people before, but there is one way to not have to do that, and that is to bowl well enough to win.

I've bowled people like that at the end I just tell them, that there's nothing I can do to keep them from throwing strikes. Now go home..

From the  USBC Equipment Specs Manual:

Holes:
The following limitations shall govern the drilling of
holes in the ball:
1. Holes or indentations for gripping purposes shall not
exceed five (5) and shall be limited to one for each
finger and one for the thumb, all for the same hand.
The player is not required to use all the holes in any
specific delivery, but they must be able to demonstrate,
with the same hand, that each hole can be used
simultaneously for gripping purposes. Any hole that
cannot be reasonably shown to be used with a single
hand would be classified as a balance hole.
