What Is Your Preferred Cleaner For Solid Rective/Particle Balls?
« on: December 07, 2008, 01:47:02 AM »
I really like the Black Magic Rejuvenator mainly because it keeps mine dull without putting a shine on them. My second choice would be Clean 'N Dull for deep cleaning.

LANEMASTERS cleaner is simply the BEST. It does keep the ball the same texture as when you bowled. Most cleaners "polish" the ball to a shiney state, where as the LANEMASTERS cleaner simply removes the oil. REMEDY RX works also, but in a "different" way. REMEDY RX leaves the ball "TACKY". It is sticky. I don't know how else to explain it. I hope this helps.

That has always been my preference also after trying almost every cleaner out there. Black Magic Rejuvenator at the lanes before going home and Clean and Dull peiordically for deep cleaning. Some people like Legends Cleaner and it does clean good, but it is too toxic for me to use....However, I recently switched to Valentino's REMEDY RX Cleaner in place of the Rejuvenator because of both it's tackiness and cleaning ability and am having good results with it so far.

Legends, then Remedy.  Remedy is a bit less odoriferous, but they're both great cleaners.

Just because it doesn't have acetone in it doesn't mean it's not illegal.

as everyone has their favorite cleaner to use I like to use Storm and Ebonite ball cleaner solution (in the spray bottle and cant think of the flavor) however I am really impressed with  Clean 'N Dull

so I pretty much use that ALL of the time now...great stuff!  In fact I just received my order of a Quart of Clean 'N Dull ...

Btw, why does the Clean 'N Dull container say to shake first before using ??? the stuff is as thick as molasses

Any proper bowling ball cleaner should ALWAYS allow the ball to remain at its current surface and not change it. That goes without saying and is not a reasonable method for choosing a cleaner. A cleaner should be able to clean anything and everything off a ball that using it for bowling puts on the ball.

You should consider not using this. Most nail polish removers have some oil in them to keep the lady's nail cuticles soft while it removes the nail polish. Oil in any form is not good on a bowling ball.

Depends. Many Storm cleaners had it listed specifically on the label. The cleaners were USBC approved. Depends on the concentration, as to whether or not it affects the coverstock. Same as acetone. Major irony
