What kind of money
« on: February 01, 2005, 01:01:46 AM »
This post is in regards to the post what the pro's use. What kind of money do you think Barnes gets from Columbia? Are we talking $25,000? $40,000 or more? Does anyone really have a good guestimate?

Well I heard from a friend of mine, who is pro, and bowled the PTQ. And he heard from some "big" people that Barnes contract with Columbia300 was no way to say no too. He heard that he makes $120,000 a year just to throw C300 stuff, and plus more incentives for every show he makes and/or wins. I was like WOW...

I had no idea what his contract called for. When you consider they get $2000.00 a week if they make the round of 32, that is not making money considering the expenses they have from week to week.I would think if his contract is for 100K or more that might help him maintain his current lifestyle.

As long as I remember, it has always been about indorsements as the reason to become a top 5 ranked PBA bowler. Everyone I have ever heard has implied there is alot to be made from the endorsements.

This is true for most upper tier pro athletes.

In most sports that holds true, His Airness made up to $25 mil a year in endorsements verses his 5 mil/yr contract.
