Medium-Heavy to Heavy.  Most people use very aggressive balls, so the the line gets burnt quickly, with little carry down.  We do a lot of movement to the left.  My mid-performance to low-perfomance (pearl Avalanche) does not leave the bag unless I am practicing on the weekend.  My normal balls are sanded Columbia World Beater and Polished Nano.  It is really tough on me and other people from my house whenevery we have to go to tournament and they use light volume of oil.  We do not get to practice on them.  The lower average straight down the lanes bowlers have a field day with their high handicaps and the lane doing most of the work for them.

14lb 15.5 mph at pins 325 Revs. Silver Coach, Ball Driller. In Bag:  Storm Pro-Motion, Hyroad X, Matchup, Code Red.

Medium to Light oil here. Used to be able to throw reactive equipment for all three games. Lucky to get 5 frames in the first game. Its okay, I use Urethane.

I love how quickly these threads devolve into "I have too much hand...not enough oil...check me out I have too much hand...the fudgeknucklers own the house because there's no oil...I have too much hand".

While some of this might be true, man up.  If you're a good bowler, you will score on any condition.

It's not about too much hand. Don't make assumptions.

My style has not changed much in 10 years of bowling. 4 years ago I could go into my center on league night and throw my reactive equipment. I would have to change lines, but I could throw reactive. I usually was able to stand between 21 - 27 on the approach and play around third arrow.

The Bowling center changed ownership 2 years ago. I am still using the same equipment I had 4 years ago.  With that same equipment I am now standing around 30 - 36 and working around 4th arrow (Not very comfortable). If I use Urethane I can stand back in my comfort zone. I am far more accurate there. I swing the ball easy and get a good roll versus trying to speed up to keep the ball on the right side.

I am still able to play and score. Any bad nights I have are due to my lack abilities and skills. The people I am seeing affected the most are those who are older. Those who have slower ball speeds than me. These bowlers really struggle to get the ball to the pocket. What used to be a longer pattern (with more oil) allowed these bowlers to throw a ball at 12 - 13 mph and still have some punch left at the pocket. Now the pattern is shorter and with lighter volume. Their reactive ball is now burning up and is usually a big dud when it gets to the pins.

Trash_heap, I was not specifically calling you out - although you assumed I was - I was noting the generalities of the thread.

And you get a +1 for improvising, adapting, and overcoming...

It appears no one knows what they are talking about here. Doesn't anyone know what the volume or distance is that they bowl on? There is a good chance you are all playing them wrong giving you a false read.
