What kinda lane surface do you bowl on ?

What kinda of lanes surface do you bowl on at your local house for leagues ??

I bowl in a town who both houses have Brunswick Pro-Anvilane

One house is laneshield, the other house is wood, 24' guardian.

Do you have trouble scoring with the quardian , we had it before we went to the sythentics and the scores were horrible. The balls would rev up early and nothing on the backends...

I shoot on all wood at one place and wood with Guardian in another.

All places I shoot at are synthetic.

Well, there's this one place, where 40-60 feet or 45-60 feet looks like wood, and 1-40 or 1-45 is synthetic.  It only looks like it though.

hammertime24,

I have a real problem w/ carrydown in my house. They carrydown fast, leaving drying heads and little to no backends. Low scores across the table.

In Palo Alto we bowl on a wood surface. The surface is in fair condition. They will need to be replaced in the next few years, depending on the renewal of the lease of the center. I also bowl at Serra Bowl (near SF) and they have Murrey-Brand synthetic lanes. It is similar to the DBA/Brunswick surface and is in average condition.

Really old wooden lanes.  I'm pretty sure that our house bought them used since they are so cheap.......

I bowl in one wood house that they resurface every year EXCELLENT condition.
1 with 5 year old Pro Anvil.

HAHAHA, andy, get this. Our lanes are over 25 years old, and were bought used from china! They're gonna have to get new lanes soon, these have been resurfaced so many times!

All wood in both houses. The lanes in one house are well maintained, the other one you can see the wear and tear on them...
