Pitch gauge?
« on: December 16, 2006, 12:37:20 PM »
I bought an old Gil-mac drill press to start drilling my own balls and this came in the box of "extra stuff". Looks to be a pitch gauge (bottom of it is contoured perfectly to rest on a bowling ball). However, I believe I am missing something. There does not seem to be a way to center the shaft in the hole. It cannot read accurately if it is sloppy in the hole! Has anybody seen or used one of these before?

That looks like an instrument that Fred Flintstone might have used.

Perhaps it's missing different sized guides that would have fit the hole in the ball?  How about a picture of the side that rests on the ball?

Good Lord,

Looks like a medieval dentist tool to pull teeth.

We all know I could make more money pulling teeth as opposed to drilling balls! Nick...you and I are both too young to identify this item. I need a veteran to step up!
