help with my slingshot please
« on: October 14, 2011, 01:02:50 AM »
I bought a slingshot for dry lanes and to use a spare ball. I had the ball drilled up pin above bridge and cb is kicked to the right of the midline by about 1/2 inch the pin is right on the midline. My pap is 5 1/4 over and a 1/4 down. Now the problem This ball clips my thumb half way down the lane and cant seem to get away from it. This ball is same span and pitches as the rest of my stuff and is drilled with the it system. would a weight hole remidy this problem. the ball weighs out at .80 finger and 3/4 side. I am confused unless i got a miss marked cg??

Could you be flaring into the finger holes instead of the thumb hole?  If so, the cause is the low pin placement that puts the track's bowtie below the finger holes.  A low balance hole may raise the bowtie enough to cure the problem.  --  JohnP

I had a power groove that flared the wrong way and did this. I think the flare pattern is away from the thumb, not towards.
