Mike Machuga Reaches Crossroads
« on: April 12, 2010, 12:53:13 AM »
Another story of a bowler reaching a point in is young career, wondering
if he is going to have to quit, because of the limited schedule and low prize funds.
Let's hope that this is not going to be sign of coming attractions.

Good luck to Mike and his decision.  PBA is not the only sport struggling right now.  The LPGA is going with a reduced schedule this year with a loss of sponsors.  When the economy took a dive the sponsors disappeared in several areas.  Not sure what will happen with the PBA but it may have to hit bottom before it can be fixed.

With the way the telecasts are now being broadcasted,I personally have been very bored with the formats that they have presented the last couple years, and ultimatly, did not watch some of the events. With that being said, veiwership is probably down, which means ratings are down, and so then revenues are down, and which comes to the bottom line, the purses are going to be down. And If the money is not there, there will probably be more stories like this one. Sad.
