What cast of chracters is your team?

Are you the guys that blow everyone away every week? Do you have the leagues best bowlers and get blown away every week? Are you the terrible team that finds ways to win?

My Team on Tuesday is the team that is all pretty good bowlers but keeps on losing badly. We were in first 4 weeks ago since then we have won a total of...wait for it...4 points

My Monday night team is a team of all hacks.  We have a decent amount of handicap with all of us pretty far below the averages we should be at, and we are sitting in 2nd place.  150, 160, 205, 200 and 215.  It should be more like 175, 185, 215, 200 and 215.  So we do our thing

On Friday we are far and away the best team in the league.  Averages are 227, 190, 223, 225.  We get about 20 pins only because of the 190 bowler, and we are in first place, but do lose more than we should by small amounts based on the fact that we give up so much handicap it is like bowling 4 on 5 and sometimes 6.

Of the top 6 averages in the league 3 of us are in the top 5, and really top 4 because one guy subbed once and shot 801 so it shows his average as 266 or whatever it would be.

Basically that league is a carry fest.  The guys with the best form and ability to repeat close to a mark score the best...I am one of those guys lol.

One team is a pretty good mix...
170-180-200-215-225
Last year we finished second. So far this year, we are right in the middle of the pack.

My other team is at the higher end...
205-215-225-230
We are always the team to beat

My team is "Jekyll and Hyde". We have the ability to beat the snot out of any team in our league. We just don't do it. Poor spare shooting. As a result, we hover from second to eighth place. Not good enough to be first, but not bad enough to be last.

My teams this year in both my leagues are not performing well.  We're about 8th place in a 14 team league on Tuesday nights, and about 20th place out of 30ish teams on Saturday night.  I average 215 in one league, 228 in the other.  The other averages on my teams:

Tuesday:  approx. 160, 170, 175, 170
Saturday:  approx. 195, 115, 170, 175

In other words, just good enough to not have a ton of handicap, just bad enough to not win games.

I was on a team a few years ago that flat out dominated a second shift league -- everybody on the team averaged between 200 and 230, and we consistently shot well -- at least one person each game was in the 250+ range.  I think we won all but two or three games each half and easily won the roll-off (not to mention almost every jackpot every night).  That was nice for a change!!

My team is the group of the best bowlers in the league but give up so much in handicap we lose every week.  Still a good time though

my team in our mens scratch league looks like this:

players 1 thru 4 have struggled this year and their averages do not reflect their ability. they have all thrown 300 games and 800 series. our team is in first place at the moment and we are usually consistent, team wise.

my team in our mixed league looks like this:

215
165
145
225( me)

the lead off man is my doubles partner and he's had 300 games and 800 series. the #2 and #3 bowlers are ladies who are usually consistent week to week. as a team we are in first with the league high game and series.

i am unfortunately the one with a strong team and i am the week link as of late. i am the lead boat anchor. fortunately we are second place in spite of me. i have been the bowler to be dropped to the minors if we were a baseball team. everyone else has been 200+ and i am averaging 194 at best. worst part is that when i need to pull something out to win i have been tanking like the titanic.
