They never even bother turning the foul lights on in my league.

I have the bad habit of looking straight down at my foot after release and earlier this season I threw a strike on my fill ball only to look down and notice that I had fouled. I never would've noticed it if I didn't have that bad habit.

I called myself on it and cost my team a point because after my opponent doubled it turned out that I only needed something like 7 pins to win the match and I had thrown a strike on the fouled attempt. My teammates weren't too pleased with my honesty but jeez, fair is fair.

It sounds like the guy in your league needs to develop my bad habit so that he can see for himself that he is fouling! (Or better yet, just turn on or fix the stinkin' foul lights!)

You weren't unlucky when you left that corner pin, so shut up about it already!!

I remember when one of our local houses fixed all the foul lights in the place...took about 2 weeks for enough of them to be broken again that they shut them off once again.

The mechanisms are just too damn sensitive to vibrations and the kids at rock-n-bowl are too damn distructive for their own good.

They never turn them on for my YABA league. I said something to the owner, and she replied (they are always on) We watched a kid in our league bowl recently, and his foot goes over the line 6 inches every ball. We just happened to bowl them this past week, and his foot was over the line every ball. Thats okay thought, cus he's a 190 avg and shot 450 that day

I believe it is the captain of the opposing team - isn't it in the ABC rulebook as such?
