Today there is a thread congratulating Rick Wunder on his first 300.

Fantastic bowling, great series.

Last night in league, they announced a bowler's 49th career 300.
I didn't get a chance to ask him, but I wonder - does it still have the same thrill his first (or to be fair, second and successive) 300 games had?

I know I'd like to know for myself - but so far, I only know what the first feels like.

There isn't anything like a first of anything.  However, the thrill can be greater than the first depending on the situation in which it occurs.  Even if Joe Bowler had say 10 300's...if they shoot their first in a tournament, nationals, regional, etc. it should mean more than others shot in league.  If it's in a low scoring environment it should also mean something more.

If a person has multiples of anything in only a THS league environment then the thrill should decrease as the event re-occurs.  If a person bowls on a wall I'm sure it would also decrease over time.

That being said...I'm thankfull for EVERY honor score that I personally have, but I do hold some of them higher than others depending on the situation they were bowled on.

I had my first and second 300s last year.  The first meant a lot, but the second seemed a little less thrilling.  Maybe it was because they were relatively close together (4 months apart), maybe it was because I tend to take things for granted once I accomplish them...kind of like an "if I can do it, it can't be that tough" attitude.  Hard to say.  I'll have a better idea if I ever am fortunate enough to have a third.

I think they might.  Months ago, a guy on the PBA site said he was quitting because he had just shot another 300, and since he had so many, he lost his desire to continue, since he had nothing to aim for.

So in a word mumzie, yes it is possible.

I wouldn't know about 300's, but if you asked me if shooting 150's gets old, then yes.
