What was the first BRAND NEW ball you ever bought for yourself??

Just curious. Mine was an AMF Ultra Angle. I think I was 14 or 15 at the time.

Before my third league season I bought a Ebonite Vortx TPS III Royal Blue Particle ball for $189.  Brought my avg up from 177 to 192.

I bought an ebonite ball from K-Mart back in 82'.  It was all black with the old time Ebointe symbol.  I shot some big games with that ball.

The 2nd ball was an AMF Cobra(charcole color)  I should have never got rid of this ball.  Perfect for dry lanes!

Ditto!  I started out in jr leagues throwing house balls...but got tired of having to get there extra early to get the couple popular balls that everyone else wanted...  and also I wanted to start throwing a "real" hook.  At the time, the little house I bowled at pretty much only carried and recommended Brunswick.  I have the choice between the black diamond or the black beauty...went with the beauty because supposedly it was to hook more.. LOL!  12lber.. it was my first finger-tip grip ball as well.  I think I bowled with it for 3-4 years before I upgraded to a whine rhino... LOL.

First, New Ebonite Magnum 8, $29 drilled. Used an AMF American before that.  Did anybody have a ball from ASU (Award Scores Unlimited). I had a Cheetah, with the diamond weight block.

I had a 10# black Brunswick ball I got from K-mart when I was about 10.  My first "real" ball was a black Power Groove about four or five years ago.
