Title: What will I Shoot?
Post by: Rev_O on September 23, 2008, 12:44:26 PM: Well, tomorrow's the night. The first time bowling in in league in 18 months. I did get out to practice and rolled 3 games tonight. Everyone give me a guess of what you think I'll shot tomorrow night. Tonight I shot 596.

My guess is 625.

I came off last season as a 188, and my first night this season I shot 630.

Ever since then I have been horrible. Now I remember why I average in the 180's even though I think I should be in the 200's.

I am sure it will be like riding a bike. I guess 650...

Post by: 9andaWiggle on September 24, 2008, 08:35:29 AM: If you shoot less than 670 you will be setting yourself up to take a dumptruck load of BS from Hose. If you shoot 670+ you'll probably still take a truckload of BS from him (for bowling in an easy house).

You can't win this one bud... might as well drink a few beers and have a good time!

Nope, not there. I bowled league at this house the last time I bowled in league and averaged 225.

Post by: sheppy335 on September 25, 2008, 07:13:28 AM: I wish i could say that, first league i bowled in since 2006-07 season. Last season i got sanctioned but only bowled like 7 games. Well i WAS in for a shock, i was terrible the first night but have gotten better each week. I am now finally starting to feel confident again.

Seriously, as stated by Uncle Crusty, you gotta start somewhere. From your scores, the first two games were pretty good. Finding the right adjustments is always a trial and error kind of thing, but I predict that you will do better next week.

These are guys I used to bowl with and enjoyed very much. I'm only bowling once every 3 weeks, and filling in where needed. I don't expect to bowl more than 36 games.
