To be honest, and I may be in the minority, I am surprised USBC can do what it does while only getting $10 per person. Perhaps I don't see the registration fee as a big deal. But even if it were doubled I wouldn't care. If people are so worried about the USBC, then propose a higher registration fee. This doesn't mean they don't need to look inward and fix some things, but come on people, is $0.30 extra per week of a winter league breaking your bank?!?
USBC goes away, no more rules. And if you try to use the existing USBC rules, prepare to be sued. Don't want to test new equipment, then prepare to have bowling balls destroying the shot even quicker. No bonding or prosecution for lost league funds, then what is to stop secretaries/treasurers from running off with the money.
Considering the bowling ball certification, why doesn't USBC require the ball manufacturers from certifying their equipment from a third party organization? Then again, what is the cost to USBC for this? Could be barking up the wrong tree.
