Columbia Tape Residue Remover

 Picked some up at I believe bowlingball.com a fee years ago. Just ran out and can't find it. Has it been discontinued?

They were discontinued a few years ago. We used them a lot, but also found that over a period of time more and more were "duds", meaning they were dried out before we opened them.
 
If Ebonite has a replacement I would like to know also. Goo-gone is a product that works, but is not quite as convenient.

Do you have the 100 count boxes?  If so, send me a pm shipping to 35501. 4 boxes.

 

I know that many turn out to be dried up, but they are handy to have. I guess I should have purchased more when they had them on clearance. I think it was like two boxes for abot twenty bucks.

 I have a total of 118 pieces in stock...
 
I would say it would be 1 lbs. shipped to you via UPS...
 
Which would probably end up costing you more in Freight than they are worth...
 
Probably USPO would be less...Maybe just a few bucks...

But Goo Gone is oil based. I'd be very careful about getting it in finger or thumb holes or even on the ball itself.

If you can't find it (Columbia Wipes) again, I find that 91%  isopropyl alcohol works pretty well, not as well as acetone, but much  safer. You should be able to get it at any larger pharmacy, Wal-Mart or  K-Mart.

I use Goo Gone on a paper towel, after use I use rubbing alcohol to remove the residual Goo Gone.  --  JohnP

Ditto here. It's not too hard to get the slick feel out of the thumb.

Here's another idea, although I haven't had time to test it. 
 
A few days ago at the bowling center we found some gum on the carpet. It had stuck really well.  I took a can of compressed air and held it upside down while spraying it on the gum.  The gum instantly froze and a putty knife popped it right off the carpet.
 
I wonder if the tape residue would come out easily if frozen that way... What do you guys think?
