Is this the beginning of a longterm employment relationship? How many balls will you be drilling? Will you be working in a proshop drilling anyone's balls that come in that day?
Talk to the guy and explain to him your expenses, and ask him what he thinks would be fair in addition to your expenses of 110 bucks.
If you drill 2 balls each hour, on average, that would be 16 to 18 balls. At a minimum, a pro shop is going to charge 30 bucks to punch holes in a ball, most charge more. 16 x 30 = 480. It would seem fair that you take one half of the amount, in light of your expenses. So, 240 total at a minimum. If he charges more per ball, use the same formula or something similar.
If he says he only wants to pay you 150 bucks or so, including your expenses, tell him what you have to have as a minimum, and if the two of you can't come to an agreement, politely tell him you would rather not do it.
Another way to look at it is to say that you will have 15 hours of your time invested, 6 driving, 9 working. 10 bucks an hour plus expenses is cheap. You still end up at around 250 total.
My gut, 300 bucks, flat fee, if its a one time deal.
