How much material can you remove from a three whole drilling to drop the weight?

what is the biggest weight reduction with out messing up the ball?

thanks

Roughly 3 ounces without a balance hole. You CAN drill each hole deeper, but that may affect the ball (depending on who you believe).

Coverstock and core material is heavier than filler material on average. If the ball has a thick cover that may affect it somewhat, and if you drill deep enough to hit the core you will remove slightly more weight.

Assuming there's sufficient top weight to keep statics legal, 4-5oz is about as much as you can hope for.  Drill the fingers and thumb deep (and hope you don't end up with too much bottom weight), then add as big a weight hole as you can.  Still not looking at more than 5oz.

I did hear of one guy who sanded his ball down from a 16# to a 15#, though I don't know if it was still of legal size afterwards.
