........if you were only going to play the extreme outside of the lane? If you were only going to play around first arrow, and not move inside, what would you have in your arsenal? Lets say 4 - 6 balls, and their drillings, and you do not have to include a plastic ball. I am interested to hear what people think, as we were having this discussion at a tournament I was playing in tonight, between myself (a rightie), one leftie and a cranker. To start it off, here is what we came up with (minus specific drillings!)
Me: Shooter XL, Blue Hot Flame, Inferno, Savage Pearl
Leftie: Thunder Flash Pro, Tornado, Throttle Pearl, Deuce, Inferno
Cranker: Power Groove Urethane, Power Groove Plum, Player, Threat, Trauma

Me:
Blue Dot (original) or Spare Storm
Lane#1 XXXL (or 3 piece pearl urethane)
Lane#1 XXL or Visionary Slate Blue Gargoyle (Still awaiting reports on both)
Dyno-Thane Barrage
Lane#1 Pro Purple Buzzsaw (for reverse block, only)
Of course I haven't played such a line since 1964 .... (maybe 1965)

What would you use...if you were only going to play the extreme outside of the lane?
Definitely plastic or urethane. Either a Buzzsaw XXXL or something that doesn't hook much. =:^D

Blue Hammer
Pioneer (5 1/4 x 6)
Colossus (drilled 3 1/2 x 5)
Colossus Pearl (drilled 4 x 3)
AMF Slam (4 x 4)
WOW (3 3/8 x 3 3/8 and highly polished)
As a lefty I find myself out between 8-12 board at the arrows, moving out a bit would just mean more speed.

Violet 3D offset drilled 45 degrees on axis.
Origional Lane #1 silver diamond drilled label.

Somewhere between Charlest and Coach Tommy. Most house shots don't put out much oil outside of 5.
Blue Dot, XXXL, XXL/Slate Blue Gargoyle/V2 Dry, Blue Hot Flame/Barrage, Beast Pearl, Silver Streak (just in case...).
