While I'm uncomfortable about posting my own scores (feels too much like bragging) I'm making a one-time exception.  Last night I reached one of my lifetime bowling goals and rolled my first 800.  (In order: 244-267-298: 809)  After throwing the 11th strike in the last game to give me 801 pins, missing the 300 was a non-issue.  It will give me something to laugh about in the future. I hope sharing my joy with you makes your day a little brighter.  Just think, if I can do it (especially during this slump-ridden season) there is no limit to what you can achieve.

I threw all three games with a $20 ball I picked up off eBay as part of an experiment in drilling techniques.  Thanks to everyone here who posts reviews, drilling questions and answers, and ball preparation information.  Without you, I never would made the experiment.  (But would I have still thrown the 800? - I guess that's another post)

Great job J- and I agree with the fact that if you use the expertise from many of the posters on the message board, you will improve your game at a quicker pace than just trying to go it on your own. I can see more 800's in your future, once the first one happens, it becomes easier...
