Whats the best and worst part of your game?
« on: February 04, 2010, 12:50:52 PM »

What part of your physical and mental game is the best  and the worst?

1.Physical:Worst-Speed,too slow, can raise up ,but overall it needs to increase.
Best-Rev rate, and changing it when needed.
2.Mental:Worst-Sometimes ,stress from outside of bowling causes me to have lack of concentration
during bowling.
                   Best-Positive attitude.

Physical-
Good: Release and ability to adjust.
Bad: arm swing gets too steep when rushing

Mental-
Good: great concentration in clutch
Bad: Concentrating on every other shot

Physical:
Good -  relatively powerful release for a stroker, good at release adjustments
Bad - low speed, have a hard time generating more (esp. on dry lanes), spare shooting can be hit or miss (too inconsistent to my liking, sacrificing wood)

Mental:
Good - Attitude try everything with a positive outlook next shot is what counts never give up until the last frame is filled complaining comes later.
Bad - Can be distracted from concentration when routine is disturbed sometimes too conservative about the game in league and tournament (shying away from wild adjustments/tend to "play safe").

Physical-
Best: Controlled ball speed and release
Worst: Lack of revs. Consistency throughout all 3 games.

Mental-
Best: Keep my emotions in check, concentrate on breakpoint, knowing when to adjust on my approach and angle.
Worst: My mind make the simple spares seem difficult. Knowing when to use the right ball for the right condition (second guess myself).

Physical:
Best: I get an ok amount of revs on the ball.
Worst: Pretty much everything else... don''t slide and off-balanced a lot.

Mental:
Best: Sometimes I feel like I can see a tunnel-like path where I need the ball to go to work/strike on a difficult pattern.
Worst: I get down on myself very easily.

Physical

Best: Rev rate (400+), consistent speed, I can play anywhere on the lane 6th arrow or 1st.

Worst: timing at the line ( late)

Mental

Best: I can grind through tough sessions

Worst: being too stubborn sometimes, and not switching balls

Physical

Best: Good ball speed to match my ball rev's.
Worst: Accuracy can be a total PITA for me. I can hit my mark's 70% of the time, but I've had day's where hitting my mark is completely impossible.

Mental

Best: I don't let outside problem's bother me, I don't let the previous shot bother me if it was bad.
Worst: I sometime's over think or over analyize my bad shot's. This can cause me to make a wrong adjustment for the next shot which could cause me to suddonly be completely lost.

Best overall: I no longer have a short fuze/temper. I used to be the one that would punch, kick, throw my towel/shoe/ball on the ground, swear, and yell. I worked on this part of myself extremely hard. I had to or I risked the possibility to injur myself and other's around me. 6 year's ago I decided to make this change and it's been the best thing I could have ever done. Now when I have a bad night yeah I'm still mad about it but by the time I change shoe's and packed up I'm over it. Bad shot's on the lane? By the time my turn is up, I'm over it.

Physical Best- Simple approach, giving me very few timing problems.
Physical Worst- Matching speed to rev rate.

Mental Best- Keeping outside distractions out of my game.
Mental Worst- Making lane adjustments quickly and correctly.

best attribite-
would be my ability to accuratly (well fairly) hit my mark time in and time out no matter what line i decide to play.
also the fact that i can manipulate my hand to change my tilt, rev rate and reaction.

worst attribute-
10 pin shooting when im rolling good ill make every single one of them but i get on runs where i whiff 3 or 4 in a row
sometimes i think too much and analize too many things instead of just throwing the damn ball

Physical Best--My A game is playing deep but I can flatten
the shot out and go down n in with the same ball.
Physical Worst--When I need to speed my shots up I tend to
pull the ball quite often.

Mental Best--I take advise from fellow bowlers and try what they suggest.
Mental Worst--I often get down on myself for repeatedly making the
same mistake 3 or 4 frames in a row. It's so frustrating.

best part- spare shooting, ive worked my tail off to become a better spare shooter.

worst part- wanting to hook it and hooking it into the lane and just letting it come off my hand which means i roll my elbow around it. super frustrating!

Best part of my physical game is my ability to repeat shots.

Worst part of my physical game is my extreme lack of versatility.

Mental game: overall = very poor.......I have bouts of extreme lack of concentration & focus.

Physical
Best-  High rev rate with manipulatable versatility.  Highly accurate, even when throwing at higher speeds (21+ mph)

Worst-  Late timing which looks like I force every shot.  Lack of equipment/matching up makes it difficult to score well on a constant basis.  Plus, worst of all, I bowl right handed.

Mental
Best- I am mentally prepared for anything and always keep trying to make the right adjustment.

Worst-  Over/under from lack of equipment/matching up every set causes loss of confidence over time.

Physical

Best: ability to change hand positions, lines, and rev rates suited for whatever condition I face

Worst: bending too much at the foul line or keeping my head down, also a rushed approach

Mental

Best: good moods with little to think about makes it easier to repeat shots
Worst: getting confused causes anger and melt downs which I rush and forget everything
