Started a summer league where they will use 5 different tournament patterns.
We were on, from my understanding, the ABC shot, and I had a blast! I had 4 opens - 3 splits and a 9 pin (after which I smartly began squaring up and firing straight away at spares). I shot 561 and was pleased with my performance. It was my first time on anything outside of the THS for quite some time.
It was a pleasant change to have to focus on what I was doing and execute well to earn a strike. I also enjoyed being able to cover spares and stay in the game. Actually, it was almost like bowling for the first time again. I must admit, I did get one runaway brooklyn, but all the others were earned. It's hard to explain, but I like it better this way. Unfortunately, I don't think there are many others that share my view...
