Whats up with the FAKE pictures???
« on: January 12, 2004, 06:46:50 AM »
A couple days ago I brought a ball from bowling.com because it looked like a cool ball (I'm all about looks) and when I got the ball and opened the package it looked NOTHING like the ball in the picture it showed. I have looked at a lot of bowling balls online and I noticed that a lot of sights show FAKE pictures of the balls they show. I can tell some of the pictures are real on certain sights because I can tell it was takin by a camera and the real ones NEVER look as good as the fake pictures. What is with this false advertising because that is what it is? Take for instance the ball Columbia 300's ICON 300 (I can go on forever). When you look at that ball on about 99% of the websights it shows this awsome looking ball that looks like it glows and is full of this neon type purple, it looks so cool but when I saw the real picture on this websight it looked like crap and nothing like the picture it showed on all the other internet websights. I want to buy a cool looking ball on the internet because it's so much creaper but I don't know what to get because all of the pictures are fake. I have a few balls in mind that I would like to get but don't know if they look awsome or look like garbage. I was wondering if someone could help me find a cool or nice looking ball in real life and not some fake picture that looks nice but isn't. I'm looking for a ball up to $130, there has to be some good looking balls in this range!!!

Personally, I don't care what a ball looks like, I own a green messenger, ugliest dirty ball you will ever see.  However, I do think the Storm Hotrod is a good choice of color schemes, trying my best to make that sound manly.  Also, in my area it is a great medium condition performer, definitely a best buy for looks , performance and price.

Ok I get it now, all bowling balls are diffrent colors :-( man that sucks!!!  Oh well like I said before I'm also looking for performance as well.  I'm just wondering which one out of the list I gave is the best ball?
