Calm down Nick...

Greg, I can't speak for others, but I do have a reason for one company solidarity.  For me, I found a company that gives me a reaction I like, even if every other company can produce the same, but for me it's really so I don't become such a ball whore.  When you decide to only choose from a smaller selection, that offers the same as others, it's easier to not want to buy everything on the market.  When I wasn't brunswick solo, I found myself literally wanting every new ball out there, and since there is a new ball released like every week, that didn't go well.  Luckily, I had no cash then, or else i would have spent it on every "latest and greatest".  I'd probably have a bunch of overlapping stuff.  It just makes choices easier.  Instead of wondering, Hmm, do I want Low RG medium diff solid reactive from company A, B, C, D, E, etc....I can just say "oh, theres that ball from this company, that was easy".

Plus, I'm lazy, and I'd rather just know the cores/covers and such from one company, than learn every company's stuff to do comparisons.

See, I agree with you there.  I'm not going to buy a buy just because it's brunswick, but if i decide I need to fill a gap, I'll look there first.  If someday I notice that I'm just not matching up well anymore with any of their stuff, then I'll change companies and see if it does that, but for now, as long as their stuff works, I'll look their first.  Basically, it's this.  I decide I want a certain type of ball, and look at company X first.  And in today's world, every company has everything you'll need, so the search ends there.  That's pretty much how it is for me.  THere isn't anything I need that one company can't provide, and it happens that the company i started out with is brunswick.

Oh and the whole "brunswick is the bee knees" thing is just for fun.  I'm throwing their stuff, might as well feel good about it right?
