now im not a house mouse I bowl in different bowling alleys but this particular house is home. I bowled youth league there for 15 years, represented them in tournaments, hell i was a bowling alley baby sittin in there while still in a stroller and in car seat. its always been the most convenient house i have developed friendships that will last a lifetime there and friends that i consider family. and last night they announced they have sold it to a church that will turn it into a recreation/center dance hall. Jubilee Bowl is a descendent of Royal Pin Leasure Centers. RP has 6 houses, Jubilee being the eldest. It was most successful but in the last ten or so odd years they dumped money into 4 houses closed one last year and now are closing this one for it not being successful but one reason isnt that didnt market it right. RP's top bowling alley's Woodland and Expo are both 80 lanes. 3 bars. One has putt and a huge arcade the other has laser tag and a huge. Both snack bars are the size of an AppleBees. Woodland doesnt have the usual seating area in the pit but rather couches. Jubilee has old pieces of crap that were there day it opened 30-40 years ago. I could rant all day about how this pisses me off cuz not only was the a bowling alley but it was a pillar in the community. i know some youth would have been in a lot of trouble if they hadnt turned to bowling. Jubilee/421 is legendary. and now its closing.
