Title: When should move on or other ideas......
Post by: tuckinfenpin on July 10, 2017, 12:50:06 PM
I have been contemplating taking time off from bowling. However, many of my friends are bowlers, and i do not want to lose contact or drift away from them.
The team I had bowled with for years, mutually agreed that we would not bowl in any other house due to changes in many of our schedules. I have not had any interesting offers to bowl on other teams either.
What would everybody else do if you were in the same spot as me?

Talk to some of the other teams that you would like to bowl on.  Tell them what is going on and that you are interested in bowling with them.  Most teams will not approach you if they think you are locked into your current team.

Good point!  If you have bowled with the same group for a long time then people probably assume you're bowling with them again.  Make it known that you would like to bowl and see what happens.  You may be surprised and have more fun than you think.

Sometimes being the experienced guy on a team that needs experience can be tons of fun, and you can help your teammates along the way, making your enjoyment even better.

Two great suggestions, I do however, agree with the sun sub suggestion, sometimes a little break does wonders for you in different ways, and recharges you again.
