I watched this over 2-3 times, and I have to say I learned a lot from this. If you read his book and thought it he knew what he was talking about but could not follow it, this DVD will have everything crystal clear.

Now I can get the same information with the USBC Academy subscription. What I like about Marks' DVD is he takes all the important points and puts it into a DVD that is easy to follow and understand. Now will his DVD automatically make you a good bowler? No. But these are the fundamentals you need to maintain. One example is the push away. Mark says there's no right or wrong way. However, by following his system, I notice my ball was hooking early. Then I moved left and it hung out there. The solution for me was a little longer push away to get the ball down lane a little more. Then I strung 9 in a row.

So keep the advice he gives with his system and make adjustments around that. That can help narrow down what you need to do for adjustments.

Seeing him in person is even better.I take a lesson from him 3-4 times a year.Well worth the $'s

After seeing him, I started seeing quick results. If I could, I'd see him more often too. But once a year may be the best for my situation.

Just watched it last week. Took my notes down and now I need to learn how to apply them and get some video done to see my main weakness.

I also attend a Camp Baker. To many people to really work with Mark, though two other teachers were also present. Also, after watching the DVD, he mentions how there is only one place to stand to video from the side, yet at the camps he was not in this position. Maybe he did not need to be.

After watching the DVD, I thought to myself,

At Camp Baker, video tape your students and break down the main issues based on the 10 main points, and add the DVD to the package of the Camp.

This way the student can take the tape made of them home with the DVD and be on the right track right away.

Because at the Camp, he might have touched on 1 or 2 of his main points with me and I am far from being able to do the other 8 well.

Never been to one of his camps,seems like a production thing. Can't get the same help there as you can in person.He has videotaped me from all positions. I think it depends on what you are working on. The last time I went to him I booked 2 hrs,big mistake !
He had the fix in 15 minutes of watching me. Took the rest of the time to cement it in,kind of expensive practice 😆.Only book a hr session cause he is very qwik with a solution !

Yes I hear you about him being fast. His You Tube videos man he really broke it down fast. He is a fast thinker that's for sure.

His system just narrows things down on "must dos," but it isn't a personalized lesson. Like my push away for example. I started bringing it out more because my ball was hooking early with my normal push away and man that made a difference. I moved left and the ball would just hang. Move right and drift left and again hang. So I think this is one example of what Mark could diagnosed if you weren't able to figure this out yourself.

One other lighter note. Mark also seems like a guy a regular league bowler would like to sit down and have a beverage with.

He's a very down to earth guy, not much of a ego that I've ever seen . He'll talk about most everything including his own downfalls in his earlier days. He's just a real nice guy

I think coaching has helped Mark Baker become a better people person. I'm sure he'll be the first to admit that he once was among the least liked because he was so full of himself. (Mark did have game before his back injury. He was much farther along than Walter Ray Williams -- but that's another conversation.)

Well for me working at my first bowling center job gave me better people skills. I can't be a sales person or server, but I've had to help people with automatic scoring, finding people a ball. I did bar back type work only I had a dolly and stacked up to 5 cases of beer on it and brought it up the stairs. Then I'd go get pins out of the gutter and help out the wait staff bus tables. No question that helped my social skills. I can see where that helped Mark Baker out as well.

I got the DVD a week after I saw MB, and before seeing him, I bought and read his book to get an understanding of his style of coaching. Also, The DVD is a great tool for reference, everything is covered from his teachings.
