Last week during league, after 8 or 9 bad weeks of bowling prior (dropped around 35 pins..), I began getting back some consistancy. Whilst I was still a bit short of where I was a couple of months ago, I left the house feeling like I've finally "got the monkey off my back" so to speak.... I cant help but feeling great, and hope that my average now over time will get back to where it should be.
In reflection, I noticed that there were a couple of things in my approach and release that I was doing, that were hurting my game. Attempting to fix these..
I would be interested in reading other bowlers experiences of this...
I have found the whole experience at the time to be soul crushing (at times wondering why in hell, should I waste my money on the lanes, leaving pissed off at the end of the night), yet, perhaps something that I can use as a positive experience...maybe this was something that I needed to have??
Love any feedback.

I feel like I've been slumping in my home house (watching a 198 average in December dip to 191 in March right now) but then again, everyone in the house has been declining in average. I just try to make the best shots I can when I'm in a slump, cover my spares and work on the problems in practice sessions. I also try to get a friend or two who know my game to watch me and work out a few things.
Even though my scores haven't been super high in my main league (floating between 530-590) in other houses I've been averaging 205-210, so I don't feel like it's been much of a slump.
