Where are the Ball Junkies?

Hello bowling family.
My name is Gary and I am a Bowling Ball Addict. As a new bowler I think that I am a BALL JUNKIE. I am a Hammer Head but have went outside of Hammer. Oh wait EBI is the company that own all the bowling balls I bought and bowled with two games.,Didn't like it now they are sitting in my basement. Sold a few to friends. Traded them for hammer pieces. Now storm is coming out with the Timeless(and just because I am a two hander I want it,cause a two hander influence it). I know its not a hammer but you know lol. Where are the ball junkies and let me here your stories.

At last count, I'd owned in excess of 150 balls in my lifetime, so I think I qualify. At one point years back, I owned around 35 all at once. The sad part was that many of those never even touched a lane for competition; I was pretty much just collecting.

My ball whoring days have slowed down quite a bit in recent years, but now that I have my own basement pro shop (drill press, spinner, plug kit, etc.), I find myself picking up gear (new and used) more frequently again so that I can plug, lay out, drill, and play. I think I'm up around 15 or so balls at the moment.

I've always said that I've never seen a bowling ball that I didn't want to try! I figure I'm fine as long as I'm not sending my family into financial difficulties due to my lust for bowling balls. I just love bowling, so I'll probably always be a guy who has a lot of bowling balls lying around.

I currently have 160+ NIB. And probably 50 or more that are drilled.

Just as soon as someone comes out with that 50 ball roller bag, I'll be set.

On closer examination, I put the number of balls I've owned at a shade over 220. Still, the overwhelming majority of those have come and gone; I most certainly don't have 160 NIB balls in a spare bedroom. I bow down to that sort of commitment! lol

Guy I bowl with is same as milo has a spare bedroom in is house with CASES ontop of CASES of old 16 equipment blows me out of the water...he's probably like milo in the 160 to 200 range if I had to guess i'll see if I can get a pic and post it

I have ALL the vibes. Well, except for the Peach. I still kick myself for not buying it when it was available at the Open in Reno a few years ago.

 In my years of bowling, I once added up all the balls that I had owned, and it came up to more than 250.

 And that was ten years ago.  My bowling and ball ownership has slowed WAY down, but I would put the total at somewhere close to the 300 mark.

 Thing is, most of mine were back in the era before there were even so many choices.  I did things like:

 Columbia Yellow Dot- Owned at least 10 of those over the years, probably more like 20.
 Columbia U-Dot- Owned multiples of every one, including the Vectors, U2, and BUD II.
 Brunswick LT-48- Had at least a half dozen of those.
 Ebonite TURBO- Had every single one of those as well, and multiples of most. And NITRO!
 Faball Hammers- Had them all, all in multiples, and still use a red pearl, black, and blue.

  And the list goes on, but you get the drift, right?

 I was sick, but I got older, and am better now.   😳
