Looking for the gray and burgundy sanding pads that used to come in the old Lane Masters ball boxes. Down to my last set and they are getting pretty worn. If they are to hard to find what would be the closest alternative to both of them. I just like using these over regular abrolan pads.
-
weren't those essentially just scotch-brite pads? I know they used to make green, grey, red, ect pads.
-
They are exactly scotch brite pads. You can buy them anywhere that sells auto body supplies. Amazon.com has them if you want quantities. Your local NAPA will probably sell them in singles.

Amazon has boxes of 20:
Maroon (360 grit):

For smaller quantities you're best off checking local home/hardware places like Home Depot, WalMart and automotive supplies, like AutoZone.

Ok sweet, so these are the exact same grit then or just very very close?
-
I've seen them in major grocery stores too, just not to many colors available there.Ive seen 3 colors at a time

Those are THE exact same pads that Lane Masters gave us on the original Legends balls boxes, along with the polish and the See-saw. They just cut them into smaller pieces.
So, they have to be, by definition, the same grit. :)

I buy the burgundy and grey 6"x9" pads at a local auto parts store where I usually buy tune-up parts. I don't remember the exact price, but they are very reasonable. Then I cut them into smaller pieces: some for the spinner and some to keep in my bag for on-lane use.

I think these are perfect for just scuffing the ball by hand before league or tournaments to freshen up the surface.

Any paint supply store has these also
and they will sell you singles of whatever flavor you want
