Where do you Rank in Average?

With the current league bowling season about to conclude or for those of you who's leagues are already done, where do/did you rank as far as average in your bowling center: Top 10, Bottom 10 middle of the pack?

Just curious as to how others on this site rank in their respective leagues.

With about 4-5 weeks left I currently rank 4th with a 229 average, the top 2 guys are battling it out with averages hovering around 238-240. 240 would break our state record(239.xxx), which both have a legitimate chase at breaking.

BTW Frankie, I still don't get that infatuation you have with me and USC. Nice school, and I've always been a fan of SC football, but I graduated from the school across town.

In the center, I'm around the middle of the pack or higher with a 203 or so average.  Highest average in the center is probably 220 something.  In my league alone, I'm second, but I'm in youth with almost no competition in the league.  High average guy is 208 or so and on my team so I'm okay with it .

hmmm, you know you're right.  But for some reason when I see your name, i get this word association thing in my head, Steve-USC-Almost.  Not really sure why.  Kind of like seeing 20% while i'm working, i instantly think Lane #1.  Just happens i guess.

BTW Frankie does not FIGJAM as he feels the game is what it is, and gloating about his average on a THS does not do any justice for others, nor does it prove anything.

Low deuce at T&O Thursday nights. I should finish at 225 at Sabre and about 227-230 at Super. Subbed at the Later houses. First season at T&O

Not sure yet overall in the center but I'm 3rd in my league. Was in first over a month and a half ago but had some bad nights that took my average down.

im just a bowler who likes to drink beer and have tons of fun with my team while kicking butt.  204 and 216 as of right now w/ a few weeks left, imagine what i could do if i didnt have tons of fun while winning league championships in both leagues

Think i was somewheres around 189 in the PBA league for like 7 weeks.  Not bad for just showing up and bowling w/ no knowledge on how attack the lanes

toomuchroomtomiss and frankie abralon, for your information i have bowled pba regional tournaments.....8 of them as a matter of fact with a composite average of 203. i even had two 700 series and a 279 game in pba regional competition. i can also say that at one particular regional which was contested on the cheetah pattern i played straight down the 2-3 board all day and had no gutterballs. i also missed no spares of any type during my 8 games. i have also cashed at a pba regional tournament. do these qualifications meet with your approval ?

Greg, it's cool. Nobody should have to defend themselves on this site---I mean really. People that are honest with themselves know where they stand.

I have always said the scores I get on a house shot are not indicative of what kind of bowler I am. My Nationals results are more indicative. 10 years, 198 average. 3 of the 1st 4 years I didnt break 1700. Since then I've been pretty consistent, until last year when I shot 2026. I've now had 2 top 100 finishes at Nationals. I would like to crack the top 50 (baby steps, ya know).

To the poster who mentioned that I need to "make excuses", there are no excuses---Im not as good as Jimmy, or Jonathan, or Darryl on a night to night basis. They are just better bowlers---I can live with that. Here is a thought for you---if Jimmy is consistently 10-20 pins better than I am on a house shot, why would I go out and bowl PBA events---when he isnt making any money out there? Thats stupid.

right now im at 204 and im second, high for my league is 205, ive got 4 more weeks left and im gonna try and run him down. by the way, high average at this center is 218, nobody averages 220+ there. its very tough to put 3 good games together, carry is tough and the shot is never consistent.
