where on the approach?
« on: May 04, 2009, 02:41:09 AM »

If you are trying to play a down and in shot straight over the second arrow (10 board), what board on the approach do you have your left foot on?  Just curious because I think I have gotten into a bad habit and it is causing me to "chicken wing" a lot of my shots.

Thanks for the help.

I stand right foot at 25 and drift about 15 boards right(found when I walk like this I actually play the ball much straighter and better speed and control for me) Im a bigger guy and for me to really torque my body to the right to get the ball out when I used to play a little deeper I had to walk slightly toward my shot now I do it for everything.

I read somewhere (in BTM I think) that when playing straight up, the right edge of your left foot (for RH) should be 7 boards left of your intended target for an average built person.  So if playing up 10, your left foot should be on 17.  This could change due to wide shoulders, drifting, etc..  This is based on something I read a long time ago and my CRS disease though.
