Information on 3G "Shuffler" shoes
« on: May 11, 2009, 10:22:44 AM »
I was hoping to get some thoughts on the 3G "Shuffler" style bowling shoes. I currently have Dynorooz "Sport Ultra's" which are essentially 3G Sport Ultra's and love them. "Shuffler's" are selling cheap on Ebay, but I'm hesitant to buy since according to 3G they are "designed for bowlers that like to shuffle their feet." I'm guessing this means a change in the non-sliding foot rubber sole. Does anybody know how different they are from the Sport Ultra model? Having never handled/seen a pair I have no idea if they are anything close in quality and or feel with the non-sliding foot. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

these have a totally smooth sole on the non slide foot. Anyone that wore linds and were used to those are the people we point out the shuffler ones.

I had a pair of these years back after using sport ultra's for a few years... I had a timing step on my second step that, with the sp. ultra's, gave a squeak of a sneaker, which kept me in time. I bought the Shufflers, and the squeak went away, so I had to adapt a new timing technique that didn't incorporate the sound of a squeak. I liked them alot, but the smooth bottom felt weird, even after a year and a half.

I use the Tour Ultras now, and I'm completely happy with them. The only thing is I go through toe caps left and right.

I shuffle my feet, and after my linds went Kaboom, I was directed to the
Dynorooz Shuffler.  they worked great, except for the rubber to cap.  but
I did some operation on the shoe and the cap was gone and it felt almost
like my linds.  Good buy in my opinion.

Hey guys thanks for the information. It sounds like I should stay away from the Shuffler's. I've tried Linds before and hated them. Felt like I couldn't get any traction off the non-sliding shoe. I've grown so accustomed to having that big heavy-rubbered traction shoe with Dexter SST's and now my Sport Ultra's, I don't think I could change.
