Breathing right....
« on: December 07, 2004, 05:52:50 PM »
Last night, I went practice, and I couldnt hit anything, I was rushing my approach and just throwing all wrong.

So I stopped and thought what I could do, I thought about breathing , and more specificly how I was breathing.

I was usually holding my breath from push back to release.

I tried breathing steadily and found that if I have a nice almost sigh like breath before me fist step, and breathe in as I push the ball back, and breathe out as I push the ball forward. With this I was more consistant with my shots... and thats a good thing.

Any of you breathe a certain way ?

I use the same breathing technique for bowling as I do for shooting.  Take your starting position, take a deep breath, let most of it out and go.

Starting position, deep inhale, slow exhale. 4 little knee bounces for timing and then go.
