Which ball do you suggest???

I need a bowl to use in heavy oil conditions. I bowl the ball fast (about 35 mph) with high revolutions. Which ball to use suggest I could use the best suits me? If you have any other tips, I would appreciate those, also. Thanks !!!!!

OK, now here's one of the type posts I don't normally answer.  First, no profile posted, so all we know is what's in his question.  Then 35 MPH???.  Either he has no idea of how fast that would be or he's just trying to stir up something.  Either way, nothing I can say will help him, so I normally just scroll right on by.  --  JohnP

Sorry about the profile. I'm new to this. Also, 35 mph was a guess. The point is, I bowl the ball fast with a lot of revolutions. And I'm trying to get some help with my style of bowling as to what kind of ball should I use or any tips for that matter.

Ts, heavy oil can be a relative thing, so any advice you get will be a guess.  Also, remember this, on truly heavy oil NOTHING hooks, particularly for high speed players.  What you're looking for is a ball that will "tip up" in the last few feet of lane.  Unfortunately (for you) both of my choices for heavy oil are no longer in production - the Lane #1 Super Carbide and the Lane #1 LRG.  The Super Carbide Bomb is also good in the soup and is still available.  Hopefully folks with a wider range of experience with various balls will chime in.   There are a LOT of balls out there touted (some rightfully) as heavy oil balls.

Aside from ball selection, I'd advise that when you hit the real soup, move right (if you're a righty), slow down, come up the back of the ball (as opposed to off the side or twirling it) and square up more with the pocket as opposed to launching the ball away from the hole.

ts7299 -- As a beginner bowler, even before you buy a ball, get some coaching.  Go to the pro shop in your local center and ask them to recommend a coach to help you.  Some one in the pro shop might help you at no charge, but if there is a charge it will be the best money you ever spend on bowling.  After a couple of sessions, ask your coach to recommend a ball for you to buy.  Stay in the entry level reactive resin ball selection - Ebonite Tornados, Brunswick Power Grooves, Columbia Scouts, Roto Grip Sonics, etc.  You should be able to get one of these, drilled, for around $100.  Then, don't expect miracles - it takes coaching and practice to improve.  Good luck  --  JohnP
