Why is this?
« on: July 29, 2004, 02:25:18 AM »
Why is it that discontinued balls lose instead of gain value like most things? Im just a little bit curious, because there are so many good disc. balls that can be found so cheap. Im not saying I dont like this, just curious.

Its not the matter of how to get them, just why they get cheaper instead of increasing in value.

Probably because bowlers don't believe in the "old" technology, but only the newer stuff.
I'm not like that - there have been several balls that I've owned where I've gone out looking for a second, or a third - because the old technology still has room in MY bag.

i agree with mumzie. old equiptment is considered outdated. plus bowling balls arent really colectors items. would u expect a gum ball to go up in value after it is stale. same concept here.
