Abralon pads
« on: March 13, 2011, 12:03:06 PM »
Just got some Abralon pads from the pro shop and I was going to use one on my Marvel. It is at 2000. Do I need to use my 1000 pad first then 2000? I don't have a spinner either so I will have to do it by hand. I know that I need to use water but do I spray water on it or let the water drip on the ball?

I personally spray the pad.  Though you don't have a spinner or factory, this still applies:

I stone 8s and 9s like its cool...

I would soak the pads with water and start with the 1000 pad and finish with the 2000 pad...

Long even strokes...no swirls...

After you are finished, I would use some ball cleaner and wipe off the ball...

Thanks for the answers. I was just going to refresh the cover not a complete resurface. Just trying to knock some of the shine off the ball.
