Which of these balls for dry...?

I'm looking for a new ball as soon as my new shoes (ABS Tour ultras) arrive and I decided I need to get something for dry. The ball I use now is my Hex which is good, but it still jumps off the dry too much too often. I was thinking of getting something real smooth (there are a lot of older wooden lanes around) something like an ebonite Tornado or a Storm hit(big hit?) Power groove looks to aggresive and I don't know if waiting for the desert heat will work, considering tracks last dry lane ball attempt was a joke. I'm not really interested in visionary either. What ball do you guys think would work as a smooth dry lane ball?

Track Dry Heat is perfect with the right drill.
Tame it down. Dont drill the thing like your
strike ball. It works great for me.

I have slow speed and couldn't drill the dry heat tame enough. I hated it, sorry, and a Blazing inferno? I'm talking dry here guys as in, my hex overhooks. That ball is not that strong. It's not that these are bad suggestions it's just I don't like the dry heat, could not stand how strong that thing was. As for the blazing inferno...I don't think I really need to spend that much $$$ for a smooth dry lane ball. How about the tornado or storm hit guys? Or maybe there is something else? Thanks in advance.

No suggestions guys? Am I now banned for eternity for mentioning an ebonite tornado? I know someone has some good knowledge on a good dry lane ball.

Well another option would be Lane 1 XXXL.
Ive seen this ball in action and its
fantastic on dry lanes. Alot of people
on here love it as well. The tornado
would work fine but i think the XXXL
would be smoother and hit harder with
better carry.

I would love to try lane1 but...I just don't have 160+ dollars to spend on a dry lane ball where some of my other options are a lot cheaper. Do you guys think I should just wait? I am bowling in a tourney next month I believe and I've heard the house is always very very dry. Just wanted to know what you all think. Anyone else have any suggestions? And can someone tell me a little more about this new dry lane ball from Track? (Saw the new heat to...gotta get me 1 of tem )

I'd go with the Big Hit. A Hit is not much of a 'core' a traditional 3 piece where at least the Big Hit is a modified 4 piece core. A bit more action, but still not a budget breaker.

a big hit pearl, or a tornado would be fine. BUT he said a blazing inferno HARD which is the one they made with a hardness rating of like 90 something. From what I've heard, even on DRYYYY lanes it acts like plastic but hits just as hard since is a dynamic core. If you have slow speed, it would probably be good, though you'd need to play really straight with it.

Yea I was thinking a big hit looked good to actually...but about these infernos...where can I find them and how much do they cost? If I can't get one the big hit is looking good I'd say.

Yea...just not so sure if I want a urethane ball, I mean just how strong is it and is it really that smooth?

I tell you, the Dynothane Barrage may be your ticket for dry lanes. Pancake weightblock, resin coverstock- if drilled correctly this ball will give you a nice smooth look when everyone else is trying to throw it too hard or take more off the ball on hooking lanes. I've seen other bowlers amazed at how I'm able to stay with resin when they have to move to their plastic for dry conditions...

I would get the Rhino Pro Teal as my dry lanes ball.  It's the best dry lanes ball I've ever had.

Use the Pure Hammer which is a uerethane ball
with a touch of reactive. I use this in a league
which the ball hooks at the heads. I do not bother
bringing any other ball to these alleys. I have it
drilled with a 4 inch pin. 5 x 4.5 drilling.
