A PBA All-Star Game (tournament)
« on: February 06, 2004, 05:47:38 AM »
This should probably go in the PBA section, but I do notice it gets less attention. Anyways, I have been seeing a lot of commercials lately for the NBA All-Star game. Mostly cause it is somewhat close to me in LA. But it had given me an idea of like a PBA All-Star challenge or something. It would be where we, the people, would get to vote who we would like to see and who deserves to bowl in it. I guess it would be like a tournament, just more for fun. It could be singles or some how make it a team thing. Maybe dream teams of all stars? In a way, this is like the Tournament of Champions, where there are only so many invited. But this would be all our choices for the participants, not just champions. Sounds cool to me, but I am not sure if it would work like other sports all star games. What does everyone else think?

I think its a great idea. Have a team format voted by the fans and have the "All-Stars" compete in different events. I think a trick shot showdown could be a good competition or even have the teams square off in a game similar to horse where each team has to match what the first team did or you get a letter.

Yeah I think it would be really cool, just kind of hard to think of a good format for it. I guess just the team thing would be best.

You could always have the All PBA team play a baker format 2 out of 3 against the All Rookie team
