Question to all BR members
« on: March 07, 2009, 09:23:04 PM »
With so many balls on the market I am having such a hard choice on choosing a medium-heavy to heavy oil ball for an upcoming tournament.I have narrowed it down to about 3 balls that I can really afford. My choices are:

1.Cell
2.Ogre Particle
3.Hyroad
4.Magic(a bit too pricey for me)

I would appreciate any feedback from any who have shot these balls and how close they are in reaction.Thank you.

Hy-Road is not for heavy oil. It is a medium oil to maybe medium-heavy if you have a lot of hand.
Try the T-Road solid or the Virtual Gravity, if you want a Storm ball.

I do not own any of these but from what I've seen on the lanes I would consider the cell.it looks to be a strong smooth early rolling ball.

I'd go with a Cell or Ogre Particle.  The Cell is a medium-heavy to heavy-oil ball for most people and the Ogre Particle is most assuredly a heavy oil ball.  I like high-load particle balls like the Ogre Particle, but it will need more oil in the heads than the Cell.

I would have to say the AMF Mega Friction

I know it is not on your list, but man does
this ball move.

From your list, I'd go with the Cell.  It handles a fair amount of oil, is very versatile and I don't know anyone that doesn't like it (I'm sure there are some out there, just talking from my experience)

I didn't love mine, but on heavy it rolls well. (Cell)  Good price point as well.

Ragin made a GREAT SELECTION and I think it would fit your need at an affordable price! Furthermore I think you will be happy with the ball!
